Safety Audits Program

Safety Audits are used by the Collingwood CPC and ICBC to remind and educate vehicle owners of ways to become victims of auto crime. Prior to conducting safety audits, our volunteers will determine areas which are at risk for auto crime. They will then visually inspect each vehicle individually to determine what the owner has done to prevent their vehicle from being targeted for auto crime and leave a notice on their vehicle to inform them of how they did. Some examples include: not leaving any valuables, pop cans, and/or loose change visible inside your vehicle, using an anti-theft device (alarm/steering wheel lock, immobilizer), garage door opener left in vehicle, etc.
