Chinese New Year Parade
On Sunday February 10th, 2008, 4 of our CPC members escorted constable Chip to take part in the annual Chinatown parade. They were joined by dozens of VPD members along with the new Chief Constable: Jim Chu as they all greeted the spectators along the parade route. And as always, Chip stuck around for pictures with all of his fans at the end.

BC Home & Garden Show – BC Place Stadium
On Sunday February 24, 2008, our CPC wrapped up the last of five days at the annual BC Home & Garden Show with our Community Safety display booth. Some info we offered at our booth included: home security, registering your property, reporting crime, and volunteer opportunities.

Make a Wish Foundation @ EA Sports
On Sunday February 24th, 2008, Constable Thring invited Constable Chip and 3 of our CPC members to the Make a Wish Foundation’s annual event at Electronic Arts Sports’ video game development facility in Burnaby. Over 100 kids’ wishes were fulfilled that day as they were given the opportunity to play the latest video games created by EA Sports and to meet a real life Chipmunk Constable.
