Welcome

» The Joyce Station Area Planning Association,  first opened the Collingwood Community Policing Centre in April of 1994 to serve the Collingwood-Renfrew Area. This was a new form of community policing never before seen in North America. Its goal: To bridge the gap between the local community, the city of Vancouver, and the Vancouver Police Department.

It is the goal of our office to educate you in order to empower you to take responsibility for crime prevention in your community.

Community policing is a results-oriented, community based system relying heavily on the cooperation of policing officers, volunteers, and community members. We believe that we can provide you with the tools to take a leadership role in reducing crime in your neighbourhood.
